I have been reading like mad lately after having been unable to pick up a book for months in the first year after my father's death - I just lacked the ability to concentrate on anything, I guess.

I took some time off from household chores this morning and "read" a book I purchased last year, Welcome to Britain (by Jan Williams & Chris Teasdale). It is a very funny picture book, full of snapshots of what might be considered typically British. Lovely. Giggleworthy at times ( Read more... )

I have given myself the task to start reading books again. I'll try with light and easy ones first, just to get back into the habit. Between those I will try and finish Ireland before the month is out.
